Student Day takes place every September, inviting both new and existing students to celebrate the start of the new semester and learn important information about studies and extracurricular opportunities. The University of Latvia (UL) Culture Center, along with other departments, will participate in Student Day with our own stand - we will tell you about our amateur artistic groups, provide information about the admission process and dates, and organize various other activities like improv sessions.
As part of Student Day, we will also open a special photo exhibition - "Faces of the Cultural Elite," which was created in collaboration with the leaders of UL amateur artistic groups. The exhibition focuses on the charismatic and inspiring personalities who shape the cultural life of University of Latvia every day and are an important part of Latvia's cultural space. These are the leaders of the collectives — conductors, choreographers, directors — people who not only inspire and lead, but also become symbols and role models for hundreds of students and amateur art enthusiasts.
At 12:00 p.m. catch us at the international student auditorium giving a presentation on Life after lectures: extracurricular activities at UL.
At 3:00 p.m. on the Main Stage (2nd floor atrium) for the very frst time we will participate in a show called "Stage Battles". In collaboration with Sports Centre we will challenge each other in creativity, energy, and student spirit — just like a dance battle. Performances, surprises, and strong emotions – everything to stand out on stage and win over the audience. Why? Because you amongst other spectators will be the jury that decides the winner!
This will be your chance to get to know the UL community, discover useful tips for everyday student life, meet employers, find new hobbies, and celebrate the start of the semester with friends. Come and join us!
