October 3, 6 PM. The concert "Veltījums Mārtiņam Braunam" ("Tribute to Latvian music composer Mārtiņš Brauns"), dedicated to the memory of composer Mārtiņš Brauns, will take place in the UL Great Hall. The maestro's compositions will be performed by the UL Mixed Choir "Aura" and the UL Male Choir "Dziedonis". Tickets (ticket prices €5–15).
October 6, 6.30 PM. Auditions for the UL Mixed Choir "Aura" will be held at the UL House of Science. The choir invites singers of all voice parts to join. Please fill in the application form in advance.
October 10, 5 PM. The UL folk dance group "Dandari" will take part in the Dance Evening in Cēsis, at the art space "Mala". The evening will be filled with dancing and various workshops. "Dandari" will lead a workshop on griežamdejas (traditional Latvian spinning dances).
October 11. The international student festival "Smaidi Brocēnos" (Smiles in Brocēni city) will take place in Brocēni. The UL Student Theatre will also participate, and as part of the festival, there will be a chance to see the theatre's new production "Līnis murdā" ("Līnis in the Fish Trap") at 11.00 AM.
October 17, 5.10 PM. The UL folk dance group "Dandari" will perform in the concert "Ieviņas Cēsīs" at the art space "Mala".
October 31. The UL folk dance group "Dandari" invites you to the dance ball "Leģendu nakts" ("Night of Legends") in Lūznava.
October 31. The UL Wind Orchestra will take part in a concert in Skrīveri. More information about the concert will follow.
