Event schedule for June 20

On June 20, from 11 a.m. to 3.30 p.m., wind orchestras will perform in Vērmane Garden, while a concert of Lithuanian music will take place at 6.30 p.m. in the Great Hall of the University of Latvia. A concert of sacred music is scheduled for 8.00 p.m. at Doma Church.

Vērmanes Garden will be filled with music, energy, and the spirit of Baltic unity! Wind orchestras from Latvia, Lithuania, and Estonia will take the stage to present diverse and vibrant concert programmes for audiences to enjoy. The day will be filled with a festive atmosphere, powerful performances, and the joy of togetherness in the very heart of Riga!

The Lithuanian Folk Music Concert “Baltic Songs” invites audiences to experience the rich musical heritage of Lithuania, where folk songs reflect people’s lives, emotions, and values. The concert brings together singing, folk music, and dance in a contemporary performance while preserving the spirit of tradition.

More than 230 Lithuanian student performers will unite in a shared musical celebration, revealing the richness of Baltic culture and unity through traditional Lithuanian folk instruments and vibrant stage energy.

A sacred music concert at Riga Cathedral invites audiences to experience the voices of Baltic student choirs in a unique moment of musical and spiritual encounter. It reflects the human journey from ignorance and darkness toward enlightenment and understanding, portraying the search for self, life’s challenges, and spiritual upliftment.
